I have a secret for you. Our to-do lists can wait. Yep, I said it. This list-checking woman just told you that our lists can wait. Mothering our children is more important than our jobs, cleaning our houses, or meeting other people's expectations. Our children (and our husband) are our first priority. Rest in the goodness of what God has called you to, and don't worry about everything that you think the world expects of you. When it takes you twice as long to do something, smile. Remember you are doing exactly what God has called you to do. When these precious children are hoarding around you and causing all kinds of "distractions," remember that maybe, just maybe, you need to be distracted because you're focusing on the wrong things.
Dear Mother, please be encouraged today. Remember the value of motherhood and the blessings that abound. Children need us. The future depends on us. Yes, motherhood pulls a lot out of us, but don't lose heart. Keep on. Finish well.
Here are some Bible verses to give you strength to continue:
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." (Galations 6:9, NKJV)
Her children rise up and call her blessed..." (Proverbs 31:28a, NKJV)
